Kansas head coach Ritch Price enters the 2012 season needing just one victory for his 300th with the Jayhawks. He would become just the second KU head coach to record 300 wins with the Crimson and Blue, joining Floyd Temple, who guided the program to 438 wins from 1954-81. Price would also become the fourth active head coach to amass 300 wins at a Big 12 institution, joining Baylor's Steve Smith (619 in 17 seasons), Missouri's Tim Jamieson (571 in 17 seasons) and Texas' Augie Garrido (666 in 15 seasons).
